Autodesk and Hawkes Ocean Technologies

As part of Autodesk's mission to support those with a passion for great design, H.O.T. was a natural partner for Autodesk. An early H.O.T. creation, the Wet Flight one-man submersible for underwater cinematography, was unique because the H.O.T. team designed it using Autodesk Mechanical Desktop® 3D software instead of traditional manual methods. The technology enabled the Wet Flight team to design and produce the innovative submersible in H.O.T.'s garage workshop in just four months.

For the Deep Flight 502, H.O.T.'s team used Autodesk Inventor™ software to design a much faster 2 person craft. Since we learned how to fly underwater with Deep Flight I and Wet Flight, says Hawkes, we are using that engineering solution with materials technology to build a small hull that can withstand the tremendous pressure loads of full depth.

Autodesk looks forward to a long and exciting relationship with Hawkes Ocean Technologies.
