Assumed Risk
Candidates are expected to be essentially self-selecting, adventurous adults who are likely to already be qualified divers or pilots, etc. and who can contribute both the financial cost and self-assumed risk necessary to be part of such a pioneering venture.

The appropriate perspective for this activity, not withstanding a comfortable shore base and nature of an organized qualification course, is that of signing on for a classic expedition. This may not have the risk level of a first ever climb or first river descent, but it does have the same unknown element, raw excitement, and require the same time-honored qualities of positive, flexible attitudes and self-assumed risk.
  • The lack of prior risk history for Sub aviation and the lack of reasonable, cost-effective insurance means that any risk is self-assumed.
  • Participation as a founder should not be confused with adventure travel.
  • Later courses are likely to run smoother and may cost less.
  • Course dates and costs subject to change at any time.
