The Deep Flight Super Falcon is a 2-seat exploration craft literally built to fly underwater.  The Aviator is the most recent craft in the Deep Flight series of winged submersibles.  Deep Flight I, launched in 1995, was the prototype winged submersible that proved the concept of underwater flight.  Deep Flight I was followed by Wet Flight, which was purpose-built as a highly maneuverable underwater filming platform to film the IMAX ridefilm, "Dolphins: The Ride."

The Deep Flight effort to master sub sea flight has been described as the "wet version of the Wright Brothers." Each of the Deep Flight family of vehicles is as different from all previous submersibles as aircraft are to balloons.  While conventional submersibles are often considered to be slow, bulky, stiff underwater balloons, the Deep Flight Super Falcon is a lightweight, high-powered composite airframe with wings, thrusters and flight controls similar to a USAF A10 (Tank Buster).  Put another way, in conventional subs you perch on a seat; in the Deep Flight Super Falcon you strap tightly into the same 5-point harness used by Indy car racers.

The Deep Flight winged submersibles have dual independent pressure pods (rather than a common pressure hull), and therefore cannot take passengers per se.  Both crew must be fully capable of operating the sub, its life support, communications, etc.

The Deep Flight winged submersibles will open up all different kinds of original explorations and adventures, including unique film opportunities, exploring deep shipwrecks, barrel-rolling with whales and dolphins, and much more.  The potential for our submersibles is only limited by human imagination...
